Cathie Painter 3rd Christmas December 24, 2010

This 3rd Christmas without you still reminds me how special you made this and every holiday for me, our children, family and friends. I miss your smile.  To celebrate every moment, and live every day to be proud of what you can bring to this world while we walk here. Those are the lessons you left behind. I pray that I will be able to honor your legacy, every day. Your children remember you and speak of you often. You would have been the greatest Grampa ever. I will tell Mason what a treaseure you were. This first Christmas with him will be such a blessing, and so hard to not cry over his loss of not knowing you.

Love,

Cathie

I cannot believe it has been a year since Larry passed away. His imprint has not faded but his leadership and obersvation will always be missed.

I know his body has rested in peace over this past year but a comforting thought is knowing that his spirit has been kept alive through all of those who knew him and were inspired by him.

Thank you again Larry for all that you've done for all of us. You will always be remembered and never be forgotten.

I have had friends who have passed from this same horrible diease.  My heart bled when it was

announced about Larry's condition. Just knew that as strong of a leader he was he would win this

battle, so sorry!  Just learned my uncle is dianoised with it.  I will miss you Larry, but know you

and your family are in my prayers!  I have been touched, by the most inspirational person in

Hollywood and I am a 5 year associate.

Wow. I just found out the news, and am shocked! I knew Larry, professionally, for years.

Sometimes we used to dictate to the field how to do things, and always met with resistance from the Painter Zone! Well, as it turns out it was because Larry was rarely wrong. I remember as a man who would go to bat for anyone on his team, and while I worked alongside him in my capacity, I can see why the people who worked with Larry held him in such high regard.

You'll be missed Larry.

Thank you for letting me have the honor of meeting you all today; his beautiful family, he was truly a blessed man. The service was beautiful.  I heard something that Larry had said to one of my colleagues, she shared it with me tonight...Save your errands for the mornings and weeknights, spend the weekends with your family making memories.  He is still teaching us even now.  I was privileged to know a wonderful man...one you know as husband and Father...

Larry; A True Leader, Friend and Teacher...You will be deeply missed my dear friend. I wish you all the strength you need now to get through this difficult time.

To the Painter family, I offer my sincere condolences. I had the great fortune to count Larry among my friends and colleagues at Hollywood Entertainment. He led others through his quiet confidence, generosity, surprising sense of humor and passion for our business. Most importantly, he cared deeply for his co-workers and it always showed.

I never had the chance to meet Larry, but I worked in his zone at the store level in the beginning of my career with Game Crazy and he sent out Birthday wishes, he called you when you did awesome, the man was just a great guy.  It is truly painful to me whenever someone the caliber of a man like Larry passes.  The world honestly lost someone who was truly inspirational and wise.  My deepest condolences go to the family of Larry, if it is any help, remember that Larry was a happy man and loved life, remember him like that.  I am here to talk if you need it
